IndonesiaOur group leader Andre was amazing! So kind and friendly and made us feel so comfortable throughout the tour! My highlight was the snorkelling on Gili T, the turtles were surreal and the water was so clear, definitely a pinch me moment!

CroatiaThe Croatia tour was SOOO much fun, such a wide variety of stops and activities so really made it very easy to cater to what specific interests people had, whether that be hiking, sightseeing or the nightlife. Becca was incredible, we couldn’t have asked for a better leader for our group and definitely left with friends for life <3
South AfricaMy trip to South Africa was made so much better thanks to Liezl. She has a wonderful way of sharing the history and culture of the area that keeps you engaged the entire time. She is a true professional and just a lovely person to spend the day with. Thank you, Momma!!!!
New ZealandJust completed the 17 day adventure tour around NZ. It was amazing, I had the best time and met some lovely people along the way and made some lifelong friends. Selina, our travel leader, was amazing. She was so bubbly and energetic and really bought immense joy to the group. She worked really hard to ensure everything was planned and sorted for us to enjoy our days smoothly and thought of such fun ideas for the evenings. I feel like I’ve found a true friend in her, and was really good at including everyone in, ensuring nobody was left out. This whole adventure has been nothing but incredible and I will really miss it a lot, and all the people. Thank you.
Costa RicaI did the Costa Rica tour. Mari was our tour guide and went above and beyond. Her knowledge was incredible and the extra effort and care she put in daily was truly amazing and appreciated. She knew everything about the destinations, cuisine and culture. Truly was the best guide and especially being Ceoliac I never once felt uneasy of eating something as Mari was always there to make sure things were gluten free options and made sure I never felt left out and there was always options. Literally cannot say enough amazing things regarding our guide as Mari really did become like a friend on this trip. If anyone gets Mari as a tour guide they are truly lucky as I believe I had such a good time due to her energy and personality that was added.
ThailandI have just finished the Thailand tour and have to say it’s one of the best experiences I’ve had travelling.
Heart and S became more then tour guides, they are now my brothers from another mother! They have so much knowledge to give, are friendly, funny, kind and caring and absolute pranksters. They made sure everyone was included and went above and beyond to look after one of our group members that was sick. I hope one day to have them over in Australia so we can go fishing ?!
The experiences / day trips were spot on! Culture, history, nature, rural and urban the time was well spent. Lots of temples, great Thai food, beaches and beautiful scenery the whole way. The Wildlife park and the Elephants is something that will stay with me forever?
I’ve traveled alone and could have done all these activities solo... but it wouldn’t have been half as good as doing it with these guys. To have a group of over 20 people, from all over the world, with different personalities come together and become the closest of mates is amazing. I love each and all of my group members and will be friends with them for life!
This is my second trip with Backpacking Tours, I did Vietnam last March. I highly recommend them. Everything is professional.
I’m looking forward to seeing my BTT family in Sri Lanka 2021.
