DAY 1

Arrival In Cairo

Welcome to Egypt, the land of Pyramids, deserts, hieroglyphics and ancient history. Your incredible 9-day adventure begins today, filled with bucket list experiences and new friendships. After arriving and settling into your accommodation, you'll meet your fellow travelers and Tru Leader who'll be with you throughout the journey. Tonight we'll gather for our first group dinner together, complete with introductions, delicious food and excellent company. An amazing experience awaits, starting tomorrow!

DAY 2

Giza Pyramids, Sphinx & Grand Egyptian Museum Visit

After breakfast, we head out to explore some of Cairo's most iconic sites. First stop is the Great Pyramid of Giza, standing 138.5 meters tall as the oldest and last remaining Ancient Wonder of the World. What you've studied in books, you'll now witness firsthand. Next we'll see the Sphinx, another legendary monument to tick off your list. Following our morning among these ancient treasures, we'll visit one of Cairo's newest attractions, the Grand Egyptian Museum. This evening we board an overnight train heading south to Aswan.

DAY 3

Philae Temple & Elephantine Island At Sunset

Good morning after your overnight journey across 800 kilometers of Egyptian desert. Upon arrival, we'll explore the Temple of Philae before checking into our lodging. The afternoon is free for you to relax and discover the surrounding area. Later, we'll visit Elephantine Island to watch the sunset. This lesser-known gem situated on the Nile is truly remarkable and well worth experiencing.

DAY 4

Nile River Felucca Cruise

Being so close to the Nile, we'll take advantage with a morning boat excursion on a traditional Felucca. We'll enjoy brunch aboard while taking in the spectacular views as we sail north. After disembarking, we'll head to Edfu Temple for a visit. Following our busy day, we'll drive onward to Luxor where we'll check in and drop our bags before exploring the vibrant Luxor Market.

DAY 5

Cycling Tour Of Luxor

An early start today for a Community Enterprise Project experience. We'll explore Luxor by bicycle, guided by knowledgeable locals who'll show us their city. Setting off early helps us avoid the heat and crowds while visiting Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut temple and the Colossi of Memnon. After lunch and some downtime, we'll head to Karnak Temple, the largest religious structure ever built. This evening we catch another overnight train returning toward Cairo.

DAY 6

Faiyum Village & Pottery Making

We arrive in Cairo early and continue directly to Faiyum, an overlooked treasure many travelers never discover. After checking into our accommodation, you'll have the entire afternoon free to explore this charming village independently. Stroll the local streets, interact with residents, and absorb the genuine Faiyum character. Later in the afternoon, we'll participate in a pottery workshop where you can craft your own souvenir. We'll finish the day with dinner together.

DAY 7

Wadi Al Hitan Desert Adventure

Adventure awaits as we journey to Wadi al Hitan, where you'll encounter sweeping golden dunes and striking rock formations. After taking plenty of photos, we'll try sandboarding down the dunes for an exciting thrill. Once you've had enough adrenaline and collected your share of sand, we'll return to our accommodation. The remainder of the day is free for you to relax, freshen up, and recuperate.

DAY 8

Return To Cairo & Market Shopping

We're heading back to where our journey started. This afternoon offers time for final souvenir shopping as we explore the famous Market and Islamic Street. Navigate the lively alleys and practice your bargaining skills for mementos of this unforgettable trip. After shopping and checking into our accommodation, the afternoon and evening are free. Tonight we'll gather for a farewell dinner to celebrate the friendships formed, memories created, and places discovered together.

Departure Day
