DAY 1

Welcome to Auckland

Touch down in the City of Sails and head straight to your central hostel. Once you’ve settled in, you’ll meet your guide and the rest of the group. In the evening, we’ll head out for a welcome dinner, perfect for breaking the ice and kicking off the trip in style.

DAY 2

Glowworm Caves & Hobbiton

We head south from Auckland to the magical glowworm caves of Waitomo. Take a boat ride through illuminated underground caves, then continue to Hobbiton for a guided tour of the iconic film set. Walk through the Shire, visit the Green Dragon Inn, and take in the magic before heading to Rotorua.

DAY 3

Geothermal Wonders

We begin the day at Kerosene Creek, a natural hot spring perfect for a relaxing soak. Then it’s off to Wai-O-Tapu, a colourful and otherworldly geothermal wonderland filled with boiling mud, geysers, and sulphur pools. The evening is yours to explore Rotorua or rest up.

DAY 4

Māori Culture Experience

Use the morning to try Rotorua’s adrenaline-fuelled adventures like zorbing or the skyline luge. In the evening, immerse yourself in Māori culture at Mitai Village. Enjoy traditional performances, learn the haka, and share a hangi meal cooked in the earth.

DAY 5

Travel to Taupo & Lake Sailing

Journey to Lake Taupo, the largest lake in New Zealand. In the afternoon, hop aboard a sailing boat and cruise across the calm waters, past scenic bays and the famous Māori rock carvings. Sunset views from the deck top off a perfect day.

DAY 6

Waterfalls & Adrenaline

Today kicks off with a visit to Huka Falls, where powerful torrents rush through a narrow gorge in a roar of mist. Afterwards, the day is yours—go skydiving over Lake Taupo, take on a water-touch bungee, or chill lakeside with incredible views and good company.

DAY 7

Head to Wellington

We travel through the central North Island to reach New Zealand’s capital. With its artsy vibes and scenic waterfront, Wellington is a perfect stop. After checking into our hostel, explore the city’s nightlife, visit quirky shops, or relax in a cosy café.

DAY 8

Discover Wellington

Start your day with a guided orientation of Wellington’s best spots, from panoramic cable car views to street art-lined laneways. We then visit Te Papa, the national museum, to discover everything from Māori culture to Kiwi wildlife. Wrap up the day with dinner by the harbour.

DAY 9

Fly to Christchurch

Say goodbye to the North Island as we board a short domestic flight to Christchurch. After landing, get to know this creative city built on resilience. Wander pop-up container malls, check out murals, and grab dinner at a local eatery.

DAY 10

Christchurch to Lake Tekapo

We leave the city behind for one of NZ’s dreamiest locations. After passing through the Canterbury Plains, we arrive in Lake Tekapo, where snowy peaks reflect in crystal-clear waters. Visit the iconic Church of the Good Shepherd, then settle in for a peaceful night beneath star-filled skies.

DAY 11

Mount John Hike

This morning, hike up Mount John for sweeping views across the Southern Alps and Lake Tekapo’s surreal turquoise water. In the afternoon, unwind with a soak in the hot pools nestled beside the lake. A perfect day to relax and recharge.

DAY 12

Mount Cook National Park

Drive deeper into the Southern Alps to Aoraki Mount Cook, New Zealand’s highest peak. We’ll take the Hooker Valley Track through alpine landscapes, over swing bridges, and past glacial rivers to views of icebergs floating beneath snowcapped peaks.

DAY 13

Explore Wanaka

Today we head to Wanaka, a picturesque lake town. We start with a kayak adventure across the lake and a visit to the famous Wanaka Tree. Later, we hike Mount Iron for views over the Clutha Valley and the Pisa Range. Chill out lakeside in the evening with drinks and mountain views.

DAY 14

Arrive in Queenstown

We roll into Queenstown, New Zealand’s adventure capital. Settle into our base, walk the lakefront promenade, and sample the town’s famous food scene. If you’re on the work add-on, we’ll help you get sorted with job advice, bank details, and more.

Milford Sound Cruise

Today we head to Fiordland for one of the most iconic experiences in NZ. Cruise through the towering cliffs and waterfalls of Milford Sound, watching for dolphins, penguins, and seals. It’s a day you’ll remember for years.

Jet Boating & Farewell Dinner

Get your adrenaline fix as we zip through canyons and over river rapids on a thrilling jet boat ride through Lake Wakatipu’s backcountry. In the evening, join your crew for a final dinner to toast to friendships made and memories shared.
