Songkran Festival: What is it all about?

Songkran is a vibrant and exhilarating festival celebrated in Thailand every year from April 13 to 15. It is also known as the "Water Festival" as it involves people splashing water on each other with buckets and water guns! The festival marks the Thai New Year and is a time for cleansing, renewal, and spiritual reflection. But don't let that fool you, it's also a time for massive water fights, street parties, and delicious food. Songkran is a time for people to come together, let loose, and enjoy the warm weather while throwing water at each other. It's a fun and exciting time where people of all ages and backgrounds can bond over a shared love for water, community, and celebration.
