Is altitude sickness going to affect me?

Altitude sickness is a real possibility, which is why we spend a full day in Cusco to help your body adjust. The hotel provides coca leaf tea, a traditional remedy used by locals. Our main recommendation is to take it easy on arrival and avoid too many activities on the first day.

Does the trip require a good level of fitness?

This is an active tour, with walks and hikes including the one day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, a 12 km trek through the Andes reaching up to 2700 metres altitude. We recommend preparing by walking around 15 km in a day or staying active in the months before your trip. But do not worry, we welcome all fitness levels. A good vibe and positive attitude go a long way.
