If you're joining a tour through Mexico, Belize, and Guatemala, you're probably wondering about visas. The good news? For most travellers, it's super easy to enter all three countries with minimal paperwork. Here's what you need to know.
Mexico
Travellers from the UK, USA, Canada, EU, Australia, and New Zealand can enter Mexico visa-free for up to 180 days. You’ll just need a valid passport, proof of onward travel, and a completed digital arrival form (FMM), often handled by your airline.
Belize
Most nationalities can enter Belize visa-free for up to 30 days. This includes travellers from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most EU countries. Border officials may ask for proof of onward travel and accommodation.
Guatemala
Guatemala is part of the CA-4 Agreement (along with El Salvador, Honduras, and Nicaragua), which gives you 90 days to travel freely across these four countries. No visa is required for travellers from the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and most of Europe.
What to Bring for Border Crossings
- A passport valid for at least 6 months
- Proof of onward travel (bus or flight)
- Printed accommodation details
